Know Your Product’ Due Diligence Materials for Dealers and Advisors

To help you meet your ‘Know-Your-Product’ obligations under MFDA Notice MR-0048 which pertains to the approval and sale of investments products, Optimus US Real Estate Fund retained Steven G. Kelman, an Investment Counsellor with extensive experience preparing due diligence analyses of exempt issues for dealers, to review our draft documentation.

Mr. Kelman was the speaker on Exempt Market Issues at the 2007 Investor Forum sponsored by the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, Mutual Fund Dealers Association, Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments, and the Ontario Securities Commission.

The purpose of his review of our material was to inform us of any additional information we should provide that would be useful for dealers who may be interested in including securities of the Optimus U.S. Real Estate Fund on their approved list and, secondly, to be in a position to prepare due diligence reports on our Fund for any dealers who may want to retain his company.

We understand that Mr. Kelman will charge a dealer $225 plus GST for a report for that specific dealer’s use.
